The "rugged coast" of Spain offers many opportunities for the snorkeller. Although the more southerly resorts from Barcelona upwards are heavily developed, there are still some smaller destinations such as Llafranc, Callela de Palafrugels and Cadaques. Tossa de mar and its livelier neighbour Lloret make good bases from which to explore, with excellent snorkelling along the coast between them.
